Week of February 6 - 12 2023

Greetings fright fans!

The cold chill of February seems to be slowing things down, including your horror movie options this week.

“Knock at the Cabin” premiered last Friday and is playing across the city at Cineplex. It will go down in history as the first film to knock off “Avatar 2” from the top of the box office, though a little over $14M domestically is not that great. Reviews have been mediocre at best but if you are looking for something interesting it is worth checking out.

On Friday night at the Revue you can see “Robocop 2”. Is it a horror movie? A police officer is murdered and resurrected against his will as a Frankenstein monster - part human, part machine, and forced to work as a police officer (probably for no pay) and facing off with murdering kids and resurrected drug dealers - so YES - it is a horror movie! Directed by Irvin Kershner - who directed another sequel you might have heard of “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”, and co=written by comic book legend Frank Miller, it is not quite as good as the first but definitely a movie worth seeing in a theatre with a great crowd!
